3.1. Create & customize the simulation structure

Creating the shell of the simulation is really easy and quick.
Just click on 'create a new simulation' on play.qigu.app, give it a name and click on start.
That’s all, your simulation is created! Of course you need now to customize it.
Keep in mind that you can customize it at any moment. You can do it now, when it’s still empty, or later once you have already a map and a scenario complete.
To customize your simulation, go on the settings menu at the top left of the Qigu Play builder.

In the first field, you are able to update the simulation name. This name will appear at the top left of your screen in the player. (If you don’t know what the player is, please refer to the Introduction)

In a simulation, almost everything is created from scratch. However, some standard texts appearing in the screens before the start of the simulation or between rounds are predefined to make it easier for you. Of course it is possible to change them and here is the place where you can do it.

As you have the possibility to have your simulation in different languages, you are also able to change the languages of these texts just beyond.

In the next bloc “end of round result page”, you can choose what you would like to display at the end of each round, or just at the end of the simulation if there is only one round. You are also able to choose the order in which you want to display it.

Finally, in the style elements bloc, you can choose the colors that will appear on several items in the simulation (buttons, decisions highlights, message pad icons, progress bar and scores.
You are also able to pick one of our 18 fonts available and even choose 2 different fonts for the titles and the texts.
Last but not least, using our design presets, you can design the style of the buttons appearing on the map as well as those appearing on the steps.
And thanks to the live preview, you can see directly the results on our example.
